Discover the wildlife of the Barba Azul Nature Reserve, where the Beni savanna meets the foot of the Amazon
The Barba Azul Nature Reserve in northern Bolivia is the world’s first protected area for the charismatic Blue-throated Macaw, a Critically Endangered species that is found nowhere else on Earth.
The reserve is also home to a wealth of other wildlife – including the Jaguar, Puma, Maned Wolf, Ocelot, Giant Anteater, Black Howler Monkey and Crowned Eagle.
